Differentiation of Brain Tumor Initiating Cells

Writer's picture: SABCR macSABCR mac

When plated in differentiation media, neural stem cells differentiate into all three neural lineages: Neurons, Astrocytes, and Oligodendrocytes. Brain tumor initiating cells (BTICs) are cells present in brain tumors that possess stem cell properties and are able to self-renew and differentiate into neural lineages. To learn more about protocols involved in immunofluorescence staining and identification of differentiated cells from BTIC populations, read the full article from Dr. Sheila Singh's lab: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30324516.
